MIA

So sorry for the lack of posts this week! If it's any consolation, I'm editing a new project, and it's just for you. :)

I am also kind of obsessed with this song. It's

What I'm Listening To

Enjoy your weekend!

Happy Cyber Monday!

Hey Y'all!

Since everyone is shopping online anyway, I'm linking Christine Fonseca's Cyber Monday post! Check out the free/$.99 ebooks available through tonight!

I hope you had an awesome Thanksgiving!

I got to catch up with extended family, ate way too much peanut butter pie, made some fantabulous pumpkin muffins, decorated half the house for Christmas (all that's left is the real tree!), and learned I will have a new sister-in-law next year!

Good times. :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to pop in quickly to let you know that this is still going on. Drop by my Amazon pages and "like" them, then tweet to win! It's that easy!

I'm keeping track of the tweets, so thank you to everyone who's already entered!

Also, it's INDIEgiving! Make sure you hop on over to the Indelibles' blog and enter to win some fabulous books/prizes!

Otherwise, I will be scarce this week due to the holiday. I'm not a Black Friday shopper, but I have family plans on Thursday, and then we'll be putting up one of our Christmas trees on Friday.

BEST time of the year!

And, in light of the holiday:

I am thankful for YOU--my readers, followers, friends, and fans.  You guys are awesome on every level.

Happy Thanksgiving!

CMH Deleted Scene?

Question:

Would you be interested in reading a deleted scene from Cross My Heart

By the time the final version was published, about 25% of the story was on the cutting room floor. One of these scenes featured Parker and Jaden early on in their relationship.

It's kind of sweet, and I thought you might like to read it.

So . . . if you help me reach 500 likes on both my Cross My Heart Amazon US page AND my Amazon author page, I'll post it on the blog.

If you "like" me AND tweet the news, I'll do another giveaway for the tweeters.

Here's the link to the Cross My Heart page.

Here's the link to my author page.

And here's the tweet (all you have to do is copy and paste!):

CROSS MY HEART Fans! Help @katiekleinbooks reach 500 "likes" and she'll release a deleted scene feat. Parker and Jaden! http://katiekleinwrites.blogspot.com/2012/11/cmh-deleted-scene.html

I'm not sure how long this will take (depends on how fast you guys work!), but I'll keep an eye on the links. As soon as they both hit 500, I'll post an announcement re: the deleted scene.

Everybody wins! :)

No analysis this month.

Still in a fall "slump," (which I hear is happening to a lot of people right now). Even so, am "slumping" higher this year than I did last year (more people w/ access to e-readers this year!). The decline wasn't *quite* so dramatic this month, so that's nice.

The sales, they ebb and flow. All is well. :D

Otherwise, gearing up for the holidays!

Am still in "giveaway" mode, so keep an eye out for future posts!

Hot New Releases!

Beguiled by RaShelle Workman

Beguiled by RaShelle Workman

In "Beguiled," book 2 of the Immortal Essence series, Venus has become immortal, just as she always wanted. In the process she hurt Zaren, lost Michael, and destroyed her family.

At least that's what she believed.

Turns out Ramien, the god of her planets' underworld, has her parents, and Michael.

To save them, Venus makes a deal. She must complete three trials. They seem impossible. They certainly won't be easy. Worst of all, someone she loves won't make it out alive.

Libera Me by Christine Fonseca

Libera Me by Christine Fonseca

Beginning after Lacrimosa and the short story Mea Culpa, Libera Me follows Zane and Aydan as they try to figure out who Nessa really is.

What happens when everything you’ve sacrificed for is lost?
Aydan thought Nesy’s death would be the end of him, until he meets Nessa and his hope is restored. Could she be Nesy reborn? He is certain she must be. That is, until her lack of memories and incessant nightmares begin to erode his faith.

Zane is used to trusting his mind, his wisdom and his angelic senses. But these attributes are no help with Nessa. He has no way to be certain of her identity, no way to know the truth. That is, unless he listens to the one thing he has refused to acknowledge throughout his existence- he feelings for Nesy.

Blind to both angel and demon, Aydan and Zane must figure out the truth behind Nesy's identity before all is lost, Azza discovers the truth and the Beast is again unleashed.

The lines between good and evil have never been so blurred.

Libera Me officially releases October 30.
In the meantime, be sure to check out the other books in the series:

Jars of Clay by Lee Strauss

Jars of Clay (Vol. 1) by Lee Strauss

Novella 22K

Jars of Clay + Broken Vessels = Romeo and Juliette in Ancient Rome

*Jars of Clay (volume 1) and Broken Vessels (volume 2) contain strong religious themes and scenes of sensuality and violence. Recommended for ages 15 and up.

Daughter of a wealthy and respected Roman citizen, Helena Vibius is only sixteen when she falls for Lucius, a servant in her father's house.

Ambitious, Lucius wants to seek his fortune in Rome, and asks Helena to tutor him. She agrees--against her better judgment--and through a series of secret lessons, the two fall in love, knowing if they're caught, Lucius will pay the penalty with his life.

And then there's the unfortunate matter of Helena's pending arranged marriage to an unpleasant man from Carthage.

As her wedding day approaches, will Helena follow Lucius to Rome (risking both their lives), or keep her duty to her father?

Broken Vessels by Lee Strauss

Broken Vessels (Jars of Clay Vol.2) by Lee Strauss

*based on a true story*

With no way to prevent Helena from marrying another, Lucius flees to Rome to seek his fortune and mend his broken heart.

In a loveless marriage with a child to care for, Helena finds comfort in the most unlikely place--with her brother amongst the Christians. The religious group is mostly ignored by the Pagan populace, until the Emperor returns to the city and celebrations are planned. There's a shortages of criminals for the games and Christians are now sought out for arrest.

Fate brings Lucius back to Carthage, where his only wish is that he will get a glimpse of the girl he still loves. But when he finally sees Helena, it's under the worse possible circumstance...

Back from the Dead

I am slowly emerging from an illness/medicine-induced haze.

Seriously, what started out last week as a cold turned into a flu/stomach virus. I have no idea what happened, only that there are entire days that I do not remember.

I'm pretty stubborn in that I don't like to take a lot of medicine if I don't have to, but by Friday morning I was begging for help.

So, thank you, Nyquil and Alka-Seltzer Cold and Flu (which I may or may not have ODed on Friday night) for saving my life.

I do not wish whatever I had on anyone.

Now that I'm out of bed and moving again (and behind on everything), I wanted to let you know that I am

~GIVING BACK~

the entire month of November. It's just a way for me to say THANK YOU for everything you've done for me over the last two years.

(And I'm not the only one doing this--watch your fellow Indie authors closely! The fabulous Jessica Park gave away six copies of Cross My Heart to her Facebook followers on Friday. Seriously--they were gone in like, two minutes.)

So, make sure you add this blog to your roll, that you're following me on Facebook (link in the sidebar!), and on twitter (I'm @katiekleinbooks) and keep an eye out for contests and giveaways throughout the month.

(I'll be retweeting giveaways from other authors, too.)

I'll also have a numbers post for you, so STAY TUNED!
